Jade Goody was the first 'star' to be born and die in the media spotlight and what a shame it is. The bigger shame lies in the fact that more people want to know her now than the whole time she was alive. Are we a nation of fickle idiots?...

I was quite surprised when I looked at this morning's dashboard to discover that Loss, Grief & Bereavement had finally made it into the Top 100 lenses. While it may not be a popular topic, Loss, Grief and Bereavement is a particularly relevant topic for anyone who has ever experienced a loss or is grieving. Thanks to all who have quietly visited and left your comments and made this a favorite lens. I am grateful for your help in getting the word out about this often much overlooked topic.

I've updated the Loss, Grief and Bereavement lens with additional information and some new stunning Polaroids to help illustrate the process. I'm very proud that the lens has been the #1 Health Lens since the end of May and has finally cracked the top 10 of all the Squidoo lenses overall. Not bad for a lens devoted to a common, but unpopular topic. Thanks again to all the angels and the many who have visited and favored the lens.

Christmas is one of the biggest events of the year. There is so much tradition, preparation and coming together of families that it becomes a really important event in the family calendar. Christmas is planned for weeks and sometimes months in advance and when there are children around, then the focus on creating a beautiful Christmas for them is huge: bringing in the tree, decorating the tree and the living room (or the whole house!), writing letters to Santa, Christmas gift lists, Christmas shopping, menu planning, food buying, making crackers, baking and decorating the cake, steaming Christmas puddings, baking special cookies to hang on the tree... the list is endless. So what happens to Christmas following the loss of child? How does the family cope?

When a parent loses a child, there are tough decisions to be made, including where the ashes of that child should rest. This is the story of Damon, 35 year old Major in the air force, with 3 children, who drowns at his father's wedding and is taken to a final resting place in a country he called 'home'.

Though Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time to "give thanks" for what you have, unfortunately, its also the time of the year when people focus on what they "don't have." And once you start to focus on what's missing from your life (not enough love, not enough money, job they hate, people they miss), it starts a vicious downward spiral that makes people absolutely hate the holiday season. I think the real meaning of Thanksgiving is not to just "give thanks" but also to be "thankful by giving."

Your perception of absolutely everything is influenced by your vibration. As your Larger Self you cannot even reach into the lower vibrations. There is no experience of problem or suffering--only evolution, variety, and possibility.

If you're looking for advice on how to fix a broken heart then your heart must be aching right now. Losing someone you love is one of the most difficult things you'll ever go through. I've had my share of heartbreaks and am all too familiar with how it feels like to be on the receiving end of a break up. It hurts, it really does. You feel like it's the end of the world and you wonder how you can possibly get over it. It's perfectly normal to experience pain after a break up and you may have moments of despair as well; but I promise you that you will get over it.
