God knows
you are my reason for living
you are my reason to go through the place of the damned to protect you

that I have an unconditional love so strong for you

God teaches
us to love everyone
us to forgive and to pray for those who are blinded by hate and deadly sins
and
that I have tried to instill these virtues in lives so young
that still have plenty of time to grow
to ask questions
to make the best decisions

I love our bedtime ritual

the one where I tell you I love you
or you tell me you love me first
then we have the sweet dream kisses
and I assure you I will see you in the morning
oh, but sometimes you need a drink of water
I love our morning time ritual
you know
the one where you crawl into my bed
or I quietly walk into your rooms
then we have our hugs and wake up kisses
and we begin to plan our day
oh, but sometimes you need to be tickled
and in between all of that…we are not perfect…we have our moments…no matter what,
though…my unconditional love for you grows stronger and more powerful each passing day
I have two regrets in my life to share with you
the first…
that someone we allowed into our lives
is causing me to take precious time away from you
to fix things
but has also filled me with such emotion as to write this letter
the second…
that Daddy is not here physically to see that which he helped to create
but that he watches you constantly and helps shield our two beautiful reasons for my being here
I know you won’t forget…ever…but,
