Can This Be? E-mail
Written by Amara

As I stand over you
I watch your lifeless body
Waiting for you to take a breath
Waiting for you to wake up,
As I'm sobbing
"Why won't you talk to me?"
What is this that I see?
All of your beauty and glory fading
I'm begging you,
I'm pleading,
Don't leave me.
Mommy, I love you,
Why don't you believe me?
Oh God, I can't believe what I'm seeing
I can't believe this is really happening
You're no longer with me
Happy and alive
This is the hardest thing,
I'm sorry, Mom
For all the bad things that I've done,
I can't stop this pain inside,
I've gone numb
My beloved mother
Rest in peace.
