We Will Never Forget E-mail
Written by Todd Ricker

It seems we would learn from extravagant lessons
and always remember the dates:  (Nine-eleven?)
When The Country United, and even stood still,
In awe! And in shock! But strengthened our will

But what an extravagant lesson to learn,
to remember to nurture, and show some concern:
For each other, and Family, and those left behind
You set the example; were always so kind

You gave of yourself, with standards so high,
For you, it was easy—as easy as pie…
You lit up a room with a glimpse of your smile
(Just one more visit,  just for a while?)

You'll always be with us, we feel you right now,
and hope that you'll get this message (somehow):
We'll never forget you; (your love) Marla Jean,
and we'll never forget the date: two-seventeen
