Quincy is a city in Norfolk County, Massachusetts. The area is quite famous because of the many great presidents that were born there. Although renowned, life at this metropolis is really not that much different from any other part of the United States.
If you have chosen cremation, chances are, you are not alone. It is estimated that by the year 2010, 40% of human beings would opt for cremation as their last and ultimate choice.
The nature of a funeral can be considerably dependent on the deceased's traditions and culture surrounding the death. Yet, in the U.S., usually funerals-follow much of the same structure-while some also personalized to the family's customs and preferences.
When somebody dies suddenly it usually comes as a shock to everyone making it hard to focus on any details. However, unfortunately with death comes the need for many different arrangements that are tedious and often hastily thrown together.
Today there are many different ways to cherish the memory of a loved one regardless of if that loved one is a friend, close relative, or even a pet. The truth is that death hits everyone hard regardless of the type of death that you are faced to deal with.
After a loved one dies many people chose whatever funeral urn the funeral home has to offer as a temporary solution until they can figure out the best way to honor the memory of their loved one. The decision of where to spread the ashes of a loved one whether that be on land or sea can be hard and many times family members choose to hang onto the ashes for a period of time until they reach their own personal sense of closure with the loss. However, for those who are conscious about the environment there are options...
A loved one's demise is a very painful experience. An obituary or death notice is one significant way of honoring his or her life. The word "obituary" generally applies to the notice in a newspaper announcing a person's demise.
Deciding when to release the ashes of a loved one is a step in the process of grieving. This article is a personal story about two of my loved ones who were cremated. I share this as an example of the infinite possibilities of deciding to release or keep the ashes.
As you reflect on your life, what are the things you are most proud of? As I thought about this question myself, I would have to say that the years my wife and I spent raising our two children. Raising two good human beings who are now wonderful adults making their way in the world is the one accomplishment I'm most proud of. Both of our children are honest, hardworking and they care.
When the death of a loved one occurs, regardless or whether it was expected or not, you will find yourself having to deal with a great number of people. Some you will know closely, others may be complete strangers, all claiming some kind of relationship to the deceased.
